EXT. MEDICINE MANS HOUSE - MORNING.
THE MEDICINE MANS HOUSE IS LOCATED IN THE WOODS. IT CANNOT
BE SEEN FROM THE ROAD.
A WIDE SHOT OF GARY RUNNINGWATER.
GARY RUNNINGWATER IS WEARING A 'NATIVE' NECKLACE AND A
LEATHER VEST. HIS HAIR IS BRAIDED.
GARY RUNNINGWATER IS KNEELING A OVER DEAD BODY.
HE QUIETLY CHANTS WHILE GRINDING MEDICINE IN A WOODEN BOWL.
HE DRAWS A CROSS ON THE BODY'S FOREHEAD.
WE SEE THE LAST OF THE DIRT BEING SHOVELED ONTO THE GRAVE.
WE SEE THE HAND OF GARY RUNNINGWATER RAISE A HAMMER INTO AIR
AND SWING DOWN ONCE. FROM A WIDE-SHOT WE SEE HIM HAMMERING
THE CROSS INTO THE GROUND.
EXT. MEDICINE MANS HOUSE - NIGHT.
LATER THAT NIGHT. GARY RUNNINGWATER IS SITTING NEXT TO A
FIRE. HE IS SMOKING A PEACE PIPE. HIS EYES ARE CLOSED.
THE HAND OF THE ZOMBIE BREAKS THROUGH THE GROUND.
GARY OPENS HIS EYES. HE IS AWARE THAT THE DEAD HAS RISEN.
GARY PUTS THE PIPE DOWN ON THE GROUND.
No TrespassingThe days are a little darker because of what we know.
EXT. COUNTRY DIRT ROAD.
We see a hitchhiker Nubbins dragging a body. The body is
wrapped in a tarp. A rope is tied around the body's feet.
A vehicle carrying our main characters passes Nubbins. He is
coming from the graveyard. They slow down and offer the
hitchhiker a ride.
Male passenger get out of the vehicle and ask the man where
he is going. The girl noticed that the hitchhiker is
dragging a body. She screams and jumps back into the
vehicle. The girl starts screaming and the driver takes off
leaving the male passenger behind.

into front seat after male
exits, van girl is in front
Where are you headed.
Down here to the old cemetery.
Get in. we'll take you there.
The hitchhiker pulls a razor blade. His hand starts to
fidget. The man starts backing up.
From the back of the van we see the hitchhiker slash their
friend with a razor. Alternate, we see hitchhiker
The Parlour IncidentOne day in July, I believe it was, I found myself sitting with several acquaintances in Christopher's parlour. It was one of those deliciously lazy afternoons which only the summer in her full glory can bring. The room had a wan, listless light to it, relaxing the other guests and myself as we languidly chatted over tea and crumpets. The air was also sluggishly heavy, dulling the senses to a slowly-blended calm engendered by the heat of St. Othniel's southerly climate.
At length, after much stimulating conversation, Christopher stood, producing a book of sheet music.
"What do you all say to a bit of music?" he asked.
"Certainly," I answered.
"Oh yes, please do darling!" Tabitha exclaimed, "he's quite the maestro."
Christopher laughed, shaking his head.
"Now, now love, I'd not go that far."
He strode over to the piano as the other guests urged him on. Ida entered the room bearing a merrily steaming teapot and more crumpets.
"More tea sirs?" she inquired, shooting sideways glances at her
